First off, happy Veterans Day! The internet is full of cool content to commemorate it, but sadly, I’ve got nothing that could do a worthy job. So I’ll just press on with mid-major football over here in my corner.
Last night, Ohio kept it’s MAC Championship hopes alive, by evading Buffalo with a late field goal. This sets up a two-game, sudden death gauntlet for the Bobcats, starting a week from Saturday when Northern Illinois comes to town. Unless Temple and/or Central Michigan lose this week, the loser of Ohio-NIU will be very, very close to eliminated from the championship game.
This will be a typical quiet Wednesday on the Fringe. Not much has changed from my bowl projections from last week, so I’ll let that sit another week and see if anything moves there. I’ll drop in with a preview of tonight’s Toledo-Central Michigan game this afternoon, and we’ll gear up for a big Thursday here and at the Pub.
